Dominic and a couple of buddies took the jet boat to the Lower Illinois river this morning. They smacked the striper and also caught some trout. The river is cool and the scenery is beautiful! Dominic is running these trips July-September.
Big shout out to Truman Lake Marine And Powersports,LLC. The jet boat has a 24v Ionic lithium to run the trolling motor in the current and is much lighter, which is a big deal in this. My MonsterCat boat is now running all Ionic lithium batteries making it lighter and much more power to run the Lowrance electronics. Dustin and the staff at Truman Marine are worth the drive.

Dominic and a couple of buddies took the jet boat to the Lower Illinois river this morning. They smacked the striper and also caught some trout. The river is cool and the scenery is beautiful! Dominic is running these trips July-September.

The fish made us look good today! Fast and furious action that was just insane. I`d like to thank the hybrid striper, white bass, and channel catfish for such a great time. They didn`t care what size shad, 1"-8" all worked great.
I have always heard that cooking hybrid striper on the half shell was really good. We decided to try it a few weeks ago. It`s now one of my favorite ways to eat fish. Skin and scales on the grill, light coating of melted butter and some seasoning.
Brad had a good trip also catching a cooler full of white bass, channel catfish, and hybrid striper! Summer fun!

The Willman crew on Oologah catching white bass using minnows until the boys were worn out, then we switched to artificials for a bit. 10-22ft deep was best today. They seemed to get deeper as the morning went on. The boat is a mess with all the shad fry they`re pooping and puking up 🤮

Brad was on Kaw lake today catching white bass and crappie. I ran a late morning trip doing a catch and release white bass trip today. I ended up keeping enough of the injured fish for some dinners. We had them on the grill tonight with grilled mushrooms, asparagus, and cherry tomatoes.
Most productive depths have varied depending on which area of the lake you`re fishing. 8-24ft deep. South ends have been deeper and the farther up lake you go the shallower we`ve been finding them.

First, Lance’s boat is an absolute first class beast… Smooth, powerful, and loaded to the gills with technology and boy does he know how to use it.
Searching the lower end of the lake took a bit but he found them moving through places he obviously knew like the back of his hand. Sure enough we were at the right place at the right time and POW!!! They came barreling through and we had all six rods bent over MULTIPLE times and it was all we could do to reel them hogs in and get new bait out. All limits filled, 14+ pounds of fillets in our cooler and we were on our way in 4 hours with smiles that it will take a week to wipe off our faces.
Lots of guides can take you out for Hybrids, Cats, Sandies, or Crappie but Stripers are a different beast and Lance can sniff them out.
