Today, I had the Paulk family out chasing blue catfish. We fished around broken up bait schools 8-12ft water. We had a few picture fish and the girls had a great day fishing.
Brad had Greg on the boat a couple of days ago and they had a really good day and exceptional average size. I believe they fished shallow most of the trip.
Brad and I snuck out to do a little product testing and we caught a few spoonbill and some blue catfish. We struck out deeper and found the shallower fish more aggressive.
Blue catfish and spoonbill paddlefish are all grouping up in their winter patterns and will be fun all winter and spring.

The morning the Scott family from Michigan put the smackdown on the spoonbill paddlefish. They caught and released until the end and then all kept one. We trolled Dipsy Divers 25-35ft water.
TJ and Rigo had their annual black Friday catfish trip this afternoon. We started out looking shallow in an area of the lake I hadn`t looked at in a while. We found absolutely nothing. Brad was fishing with his wife on another end of the lake doing well. So with a couple of hours of daylight left, we jetted to that vicinity. After briefly graphing the area we found a school of fish 6-8ft deep at the edge of an old road bed. We had a good steady bite until the end. TJ caught the biggest this year.

We had a finicky bite today. We started out shallow in the grass picking up a few fish and missing a handful. So we moved out from the grass and pulled boards for the majority of the morning putting together a decent box of healthy fish. Like a light switch they stopped biting and the Sidescan screen was void of fish. We jetted back to the grass and they were in there feeding. The fish made me work for it today 😳
We used 8.5ft Meat Hunter Rods Boss Hog rods, Draggin Master rigs, and Parks Planers. They wanted it slow today, .3-.4mph
