Fort Gibson Spoonbill Paddlefish
Our second group was Neal and his buddy from Locust Grove area. The first group snagging was fast action. By the time we got out for this group the fish had vanished…and I mean really vanished. We went miles looking for fish.
When we did find a good group, we’d come back to them and they’d be gone. I’ve never seen the fish at Fort Gibson be on the move and scattered this much. Long story short, we worked our tails off to hook a few fish and didn’t get anything boated. It took me 9 year of guiding to get the goose egg and I hope it never happens again. Tough afternoon for sure.
